Translation (English)
On 1 March Ludewig Küster [had] a daughter [baptized], Engel Maria; sponsors Anna Maria Küster and Johann Rudolph Magerhaus. On 25 April Andreas Christoph Küster [had] a son [baptized], Johann Jürgen.
Notes
The second read first wrote "Lucia" and corrected itself to Ludewig: the forename is doubtful. A Ludewig Küster father in 1742 cannot be the Ludewig born 1725 (F31); image check K4.11. The other Hohnstedt Küster baptisms of 1732–1741 (Christoph Küster of Vogelbeck, 1732; Christian Küster, miller, 1733, 1737, 1739, 1741) are listed in F338. Grade: STATED (screen draft); forename doubtful.
Re-read 20 October 2026 (K4.11, at the viewer's maximum): "d. 1. mart. Ludewig Küster — [Tochter] tauffen lassen. Gevattern: Anna Maria Küster, … Joh. Rudolph Magerhaus [?] … genannt: Engel Maria." The forename is Ludewig, every letter visible; not "Lucia." The viewer labels this image Bild 163 (viewer value 162); the file name keeps the value. With the 1746 and 1748 baptisms of the same father: two Ludewig Küsters at Hohnstedt, PROBABLE. Grade: STATED.
