Entry 12 — Priority 8 hit, MAJOR, no entry number for godparents (unbaptized death). Döhnsen, 17 April. "Hat Frau Marie Caroline Wilhelmine Rüter(?) mit einer Tochter niedergekommen, welche bald nach der Geburt ohne Taufe gestorben [ist]" (Mrs. Marie Caroline Wilhelmine Rüter was delivered of a daughter, who died shortly after birth without baptism). No father named, no godparents, no baptism date — the entry is structured entirely differently from an ordinary baptism.
— This is a direct, explicit Priority 8 hit: the clerk records a child dying "ohne Taufe" (without baptism) — no Nottaufe or emergency rite mentioned at all, just a plain statement that no baptism occurred. This is the clearest data point yet on how this parish handled an infant who died before baptism could be arranged: it went into the baptismal register as its own entry, unbaptized, rather than being silently omitted or folded into the burial register. Directly relevant to the home-baptism explanation the protocol is testing.
