Notes

> The hit is godparent 2, styled Maschinenmüllers Tochter. This is almost certainly Dorothea Luise Friederike Waßmann, born 23 February 1817 to Georg Ludewig Waßmann at Linse and recorded at Bild 6, written page 6, entry 3 of this same register. > > If the identification holds, she survived to adulthood and was standing sponsor in Linse parish life at about nineteen, styled by her father's milling title. The project's working name for this figure was Luise; her full baptismal name is Dorothea Luise Friederike, so the register is using a different one of her given names, not naming a different woman. Grading: working theory, on name, age, place and the father's title. > > The same page carries a further non-Wesemann Linse miller in entry 1 — a Stange(?)/Stelge(?), Ludwig, styled Müllerknecht — logged for the Linse milling-occupation roster, not for the family.
