On the 8th of January, a daughter of the bailiff/official Johann Christoph Wasmann and Sophie was baptized. Godparents were: 1) August Wasmann, of Osterode; 2) the maiden [ ] Sophia [ ], [an official's wife]; 3) [name unclear].

Named: August Ernst.

Two things stand out. First, the father here is described with an official title — "Amtvogt" or similar, a bailiff or district administrative officer — which is a different, higher-status occupation than the day-labourers, night watchmen, and millers you've seen so far. Second, "August Wasmann von Osterode" as a godparent introduces yet another place name — Osterode am Harz is a real, somewhat larger town in the region, distinct from your smaller villages (Linse, Dohnsen, Tuchtfeld, etc.).

Given the 1748 date and the title "Johann Christoph Wasmann," this could plausibly be an earlier bearer of the same name as the Johann Christoph Wasmann + Henriette Meyer couple from Linse you've built out extensively — but the generational gap (this entry is roughly 40 years earlier) and the different apparent social status (official vs. later descriptions) make me want to flag this as likely a different, earlier Johann Christoph rather than assume continuity. Worth logging as its own branch and letting the dates in your spreadsheet sort out whether there's a direct line between them.
