English
30\. Halle, on 20 August, to Jo. Wilhelm Brand and Dor. Marie Heinemeier of Kirchbrak, a daughter [was born] (born 17 August, 11 a.m.). Godparents: 1) the middle-miller, Heinrich Waßemann [Wesemann], 2) the [mill-master(?)] Johann Heinr. Brünig, 3) the wife of the surgeon Friedrich Hekle(?), 4) the wife of the district bailiff (Amtsvogt) of Duckhagen, Stumpf, [who] was absent. Name: Anne Engel Heinriette.
Note: the father here, Jo. Wilhelm Brand, is a Brand-family entry; included both for the Brand connection and because the miller Heinrich Waßemann stands as godfather.
Correction on re-check: the surgeon's name reads more like "Frid. Hekle" than "Fritz Heckte," and "Amtsvogt" (district bailiff) is now confirmed rather than hedged — the same title appears in Entry 26 above.
